KLI and CLARD participant at the Conference of Balkan Regional Network on the Rule of Law (BRRLN)

Oher, 4 April 2019 – In Oher of Macedonia is being held the conference of Balkan Regional Network on the Rule of Law (BRRLN). The conference will be held from 3 until 4 April 2019, attended by representatives from Bar Association and civil society from six states; Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosna and Hercegovina and Montenegro. Participants of the conference are also the representatives of the Bar Associations Councils of Europe (CCBE) and representatives of OPDAT office in North Macedonia.

During these three days of the conference, will be treated topics of special importance for the rule of law system in the respective states participating in the conference, such as:

  • The EU Enlargement Perspective for the Western Balkans the difficulties and opportunities for Bar Associations in the process of negotiation for EU membership and the importance of their contribution;
  • The future of legal education and trainings;
  • Access to justice and the rule of law (free legal aid and ex officio representation);
  • Legal ethic and media;
  • Fighting corruption;

Participants of the conference will also work in separate groups for topics that will be treated at the conference. At this conference is participating Yll Zekaj from the KLI, Program Manager “Access to Justice” and Coordinator of the Legal Aid Center of KLI.
