Pristina, 14 October 2019 – Kosovo Law Institute (KLI) in cooperation with the European Union Mission in Kosovo – EULEX (EULEX) is in the process of implementing “Building trust in the judicial system and increasing the realisation of human rights through court lay-monitoring”
KLI and EULEX through this project aim to increase the transparency of the justice system in Kosovo, improving human rights and freedoms and implementation of international standards to a fair, independent and impartial trial, through monitoring court hearings in criminal matters through court lay monitoring (citizens whom do not professional qualifications), based on methodology and survey prepared by EULEX and KLI.
Kosovo Law Institute, with the purpose of implementing this project, publishes a vacancy announcement for twenty (20) positions for individuals interested in taking place in court monitoring in all courts in Kosovo.
Those interested in taking part in this project, must fulfill the following criteria:
- To be citizens of the Republic of Kosovo;
- To be the age from 18 – 65, and over;
- Must not be convicted of criminal offences;
- Priority is given to those without professional qualifications;
- Priority is given to those whom are unemployed;
During the selection a certain quota is reserved for Kosovo citizens that are from Kosovo minorities, female gender and elderly.
The vacancy announcement is open for the whole territory of the Republic of Kosovo from 14-24 October 2019.
