Kosovo Judicial Council and Kosovo Law Institute sign cooperation agreement

Pristina, 7th April 2016 – Kosovo Judicial Council and Kosovo Law Institute, on Thursday signed a cooperation agreement, for deepening of reciprocal cooperation.

This cooperation agreement is approved unanimously in the KJC meeting held on 6th April 2016.

The aim of this cooperation agreement is to increase transparency and responsibility of the KJC, Courts and their branches, Courts administration and their branches.

Increase of transparency and accountability of judicial system will be realized through monitoring by the KLI in the process of drafting and approving of secondary legislation from the KJC and her permanent commissions, implementation of primary and secondary legislation, acting of competences and responsibilities from the KJC, in order to improve and increase the efficiency of judicial system in Kosovo, implementation of laws, based on principles of better governance of judiciary, strengthening the rule of law and advancing the process of European integrations.

KJC and KLI will offer support and cooperation to each other in accomplishing the purpose of this Cooperation Agreement and objectives defined with article 4, point 1.22 of Law for the KJC and this Cooperation Agreement.
