Pristina, 16th February – Kosovo assembly and Kosovo Law Institute on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement, for deepening of reciprocal cooperation.
Aim of this cooperation agreement is increase of transparency and accountability of authorities of Kosovo assembly in the process of drafting and approving of legislation related with competitions of Parliamentary commissions of Kosovo assembly to improve policy making and law making in good governance, strengthening the rule of law and advancing of process of European integrations. Also aim of this agreement is increase of transparency and accountability of Independent Agencies and Boards of Public Enterprises which are supervised by the Kosovo assembly.
In accordance with the rules and procedures of Kosovo Assembly, Kosovo Law Institute to monitor meetings of Permanent and functional Commissions of Kosovo Assembly, to have access to the received acts by these commissions in all phases of the review process, to cooperate and offer support to General Directorate for legal and procedural issues of Administration of Kosovo Assembly and the Office of the General Secretary of Kosovo Assembly. All authorities of Kosovo Assembly, Independent Agencies and Boards of Public Enterprises in accordance with applicable law, to offer full access for monitoring by Kosovo Law Institute.
Kosovo Assembly and Kosovo Law Institute will offer support and cooperation to each other in accomplishing the aim of this cooperation agreement and objectives set with article 65, 66 and 76 of the Kosovo Assembly regulation. Also regarding cooperation offer with all Assembly authorities, Independent Agencies, and Public Enterprises, in accordance with applicable law, will offer access to all documents for Kosovo Law Institute.
