EU DIRECTIVE ON LEGAL AID FOR SUSPECTS AND ACCUSED  PERSONS IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS AND FOR REQUESTED  PERSONS IN EUROPEAN ARREST WARRANT PROCEEDINGS: TRANSPOSITION TOOLKIT

This Directive is published in three languages (English, Albanian and Serbian) within the project “Advancing Criminal Procedural Rights in Kosovo”, as a result of which LEAP Kosovo was established, this project is supported by the Netherlands Embassy in Pristina. The Legal Expert Advisory Panel (or LEAP) is a network of European experts on “Fair Trials” in criminal justice and human rights which works to promote the right to a fair trial in Europe. LEAP currently has about 200 organizational members, with representatives from law firms, CSOs and academic institutions, covering all 27 EU member states. Kosovo since 2020 is a member of this network of experts and currently has seven members, which is led by the Kosovo Law Institute and supported by the Netherlands Embassy in Pristina, Kosovo.
