Pristina, November 11, 2019 – Management of the Kosovo Law Institute (KLI) Ehat Miftaraj and Betim Musliu, on Monday met President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Enver Peci in order to submit reports of systematic monitoring and research of the justice system in country as well as to advocate for the implementation of the KLI’s recommendations. “Within the cooperation with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo, we had a useful meeting with its President, Mr. Enver Peci, to whom we have submitted physical copies of the KLI’ reports published during 2019. We discussed findings, assessments, and main recommendations of these KLI’s reports, for which we have taken the commitment of the supreme leader, that they will be seriously reviewed within its mandate”, said Ehat Miftaraj, executive director of the KLI.
Leader of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Peci, has assessed the KLI’s work in monitoring and researching important topics in the justice field. “First I thank you for your work and contribution to improve the work of the judiciary in general”.
President Peci, said that in this meeting, has discussed with the KLI’s management about monitoring work of the justice system and review of findings and recommendations deriving from the reports. “During the meeting we discussed for the KLI’s work about monitoring judicial and prosecutorial system in general, I received the reports published so far and as the President of the Supreme Court I have assured that I will take care that recommendations derived from the reports be implemented.”
KLI constantly advocated to the all stakeholders of the justice system, sending all reports with concrete findings, assessments and recommendations as well as meeting responsible officials in all relevant institutions to push forward the policies that increase efficiency and effectiveness of the work of the justice system, to enable the realization of the citizen’s rights and their access to justice.
