Faculty of Law of the University of Pristina and KLI sign memorandum of cooperation

Pristina, 13 March 2019 – Faculty of Law of Public University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina” and Kosovo Law Institute have signed a memorandum of understanding, with the aim to increase cooperation for the benefit of both institutions, serving students, citizens and the justice system in general.

Within this inter-institutional cooperation, signed by the Dean of Faculty of Law, Mr. Haxhi Gashi and Executive Director of the KLI, Mr.Ehat Miftaraj, Faculty of Law and KLI, will be included in the exchange of experiences and mutual expertise. Aim of mutual cooperation will include but will not be limited to:

  • Exchanging experiences and mutual expertise in the field of justice, including criminal civil and administrative matters, and judicial practice.
  • Providing expertise of academic staff in support of activities that aim to improve the rule of law, namely the improvement of the right implementation of law institutes.
  • Participation of students in activities and projects to increase capacities of new jurists for fields, in which KLI has expertise, develops different activities and projects.

KLI is non-governmental and nonprofit independent organization, a think tank specialized in the justice sector that deals with the advancement of law. Mission of the KLI is to strengthen the rule of law and improve access to justice for citizens. Its activity, the institute develops through the programmatic structures. This memorandum of cooperation serves for the achievement of the education program, which is the institutional goal of the KLI.

KLI, within the education program, currently is implementing the project supported by the American Embassy in Kosovo “Demand for Justice”, which has as its objective the provision of cooperation and support of Faculties of Law in Kosovo and their students.
