Mitrovica, February 22, 2020 – Deputy Executive Director of Kosovo Law Institute (KLI), Betim Musliu and the Coordinator of the free Legal Aid Centre (LAC) of KLI, Yll Zekaj, on Saturday, have lectured on the topic “Whistleblowing and the Protection of Whistleblowers”.
The workshop was organized by the Training Center of the Kosovo Bar Association, within the framework of the Continuous Legal Obligatory Education (CLOE), where 37 attorneys of the Mitrovica region took part.
Within this workshop, the lecturers have lectured on whistleblowing and the protection of whistleblowers in the Republic of Kosovo. Within this workshop, was shown the exclusive documentary made in four countries (Washington DC, New York, Chicago and Miami) of the United Stated of America – “Corruption Whistleblowers”. This documentary made by “Betimi për Drejtësi” show, supported by the US Embassy, shows the good practices of whistleblowing, violations and protection of whistleblowers in the USA.
Musliu and Zekaj have been accredited as lecturers within the KBA and the hours of this training (3 credits) will be count as CLOE credits. The lecturers held this training pro bono.
