We have discussed the main findings, assessments and recommendations of these KLI\u2019s reports, for which we received the commitment of the head of police, that they will be seriously reviewed to be implemented by the Kosovo Police within its mandate\u201d, said Ehat Miftaraj, executive director of the KLI.<\/p>\n<p>Miftaraj has raised for discussion some of the specific reports within the mandate of Kosovo Police, for which has asked the police management to review findings, assessments and recommendations of the KLI. \u201cAmong topics with interest that we discussed in this meeting is problematic treated by the KLI in the report \u201cCertificate on criminal record history \u2013 violation of legal certainty\u201d, so we advocated to undertake concrete steps by Kosovo Police in cooperation with the Prosecutorial Council and Judicial Council to implement the legal framework regarding these documents\u201d, said Miftaraj.<\/p>\n<p>Director of the Kosovo Police, Rashit Qalaj, assessed the KLI\u2019s work in monitoring and research of important topics in the field of justice and police, which according to him, reflect the real situation of the functioning of justice and security system in the country. We have a close cooperation with the KLI in terms of professional engagement and in the process of monitoring and research of this organization, we as Kosovo Police, we are pleased to offer full cooperation and access that is enabled by law to better scan the reality of functioning and results of justice and security institutions\u201d, said Qalaj.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, Director Qalaj, emphasized that he and the Kosovo Police have continuously reviewed with priority findings, assessments and recommendations that have emerged from KLI\u2019s reports to improve the performance of the justice and security institutions. \u201cKLI has proven that the criticism is based on independent and professional research, so as such they are necessarily accepted by us because through them and concrete recommendations help us as Kosovo Police to undertake concrete actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our services in providing security for citizens and fighting all kinds of criminality in the country\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>KLI has continuously advocated to all stakeholders of the justice and security system, handing to them all reports with concrete findings, assessments and recommendations, as well as meeting responsible officials in all relevant institutions to push forward the policies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the work of justice system, security and independent law enforcement agencies, in order to enable citizens to exercise their rights and their access to justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pristina, November 22, 2019 \u2013 Management of the Kosovo Law Institute (KLI) Ehat Miftaraj and Betim Musliu, on Monday, meet high management of Kosovo Police, headed by the General Director, Rashit Qalaj, to hand thim over the reports of systematic monitoring and research of the justice system in the country, as well as to advocate&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":23380,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[74,178],"tags":[203],"class_list":["post-23388","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-activities","category-programi-sundimi-i-ligjit-en","tag-notification"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.1 (Yoast SEO v27.3) -
