Pristina, July 26 2019<\/strong> \u2013 We \u2013 organizations of civil society \u2013 react strongly against the invitation of the former Prime Minister Haradinaj for the meeting of the resigned Government as well as against any important decision that can potentially be voted by the resigned government.<\/p>\n

Resigned government from July 19 2019, has no legitimacy to continue with the implementation of its governing plan, and any attempt that during this time to take important decisions, because they contradict basic principles of rule of law and good governance.<\/p>\n

We invite former Prime Minister and the resigned Government that until the election of new government, to care only in exercising duties and responsibilities necessary to hold functional the state administration, to prevent institutional vacuum. The resigned Government does not have a governing mandate, to continue with the implementation of its policies, as it has announced the points for the next meeting of the government, as if nothing had happened.<\/p>\n

In this situation in which the country is, we \u2013 the civil society organizations \u2013 request from the resigned government not to take any action to issue important decisions, on the contrary for each suspicious decision, the State Prosecutor must act towards prosecution of each high official, starting from the Prime Minister to the entire Cabinet of Ministers and other public officials, who use the situation created to make important decisions that can only be taken by a legitimate government.<\/p>\n

We \u2013 civil society organizations \u2013 call on the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, that in term of fulfilling the constitutional obligations to guarantee the constitutional functioning of the institutions stipulated by the Constitution, do not waste time, but to take urgent measures that in consultation with political parties to go towards solution for the election of legitimate institutions.<\/p>\n
